ASIS Executive Meeting June 8, 1999

This will be the last meeting for the summer.  The meetings will resume the third Thursday of each month commencing September 16, 1999, and will be held at the Round Table, 800 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Denise Banin has accepted the position of Treasurer, effective immediately.

Mark Blumm will present our new web site at the June 17, meeting.

Scan Course - Gord Oliver has written to confirm the dates - October 18 - 24, 1999, as well as costs.

The golf tournament with the MPOA will be held in mid September.  Gavin Reid will attend the June meeting to confirm.  Gord and Bill will contact MPOA members to join us for our September meetings.

ASIS Conference - September in Las Vegas - Free passes to be given out at the June 17 meeting.  The value of the tickets in $ 75 - $100 US.

Bill to ask Walter Webber to be the newsletter chair.

Gord will speak to Lorne Huff - Re: membership.

Bill will send package to Donna Van Horne's son.

ASIS General Meeting June 17, 1999

This is the last meeting for the summer months.  Regular meeting will resume on September 27, 1999 at The Round Table restaurant.

Guest speaker was Mark Blumm of Oliver, Yaskiw & Associates Inc.(and Virtual Multimedia), who took us on a tour of our new web site.  We are now up and running.

It was announced that Denise Banin of Oliver, Yaskiw & Associates has accepted the position as Treasurer.  Thank you Denise.

Business cards were collected from those interested in the free passes to the ASIS Conference is Vegas is September.  The lucky winner is Peter Birse of Sheriff Services, Winnipeg Courts.

Bill Bradshaw is to ask Walter Webber to take on the position of Newsletter Chair and will also send a membership package to Donna Van Horne's son.

The MPOA/ASIS Golf Tournament will be held on September 16, at Larders Golf Course.  Please indicate to Walter Webber if you are interested in attending.

The SCAN course is firmly set for October 25, through to October 28, 1999.  It will be held at the Norwood Hotel.  There will be a reception from 5 - 7 PM.  Costs for the 4 day course are yet to be determined.
